1. Outstanding Visual Effects in a Single Episode for episode 7, VIPS, where they play the glass bridge game.
2. Outstanding Stunt Performance for episode 4, Stick to the Team, where they play tug-o-war.
3. Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary Program, for episode 6, Gganbu, where they play marbles.
4. Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series, for Lee You-mi, who plays Ji-yeong in episode 6, Gganbu.
This also makes Lee You-mi the first Korean actress to win this category, and more broadly, Squid Game is the first non-English show to get serious noms from the Emmys, getting a total of 14 nominations including in Best Drama.
It makes me hopeful that more interesting stories will continue to get a large platform like Netflix in the future.
