Getting deja vu with the hype surrounding NJ and IVE

  • it’s identical to the way people were hyping up aespa eating the charts up last year. They brought something new, fresh, ended their senior ggs….

And now people call then yesterdays news. 4th gen is to overwhelming for me. Who knows if we might be talking about NJ and IVE like this next year

  • 4th gen don't have and won't have the consistency 3rd gen had during their prime

  • Newjeans had a hit debut whereas aespa had a hit comeback, and Ive has had consistent top songs so it's not really the same. For newjeans we'll have to see whether they go an itzy route and their digital peak is their debut or if they go a blackpink route and improve comeback after comeback. If the next album is as good as they say it is I think there's a small chance they can build on their hype and top their debut. We'll have too wait and see. Also, I don't think aespa is as over as everyone says they are, sm just needs to be wise in picking a song and not fumble it like he did with illusion and girls.

  • Aespa are one hit wonders that just got lucky with a remake song and savage was a flop considering it had to competition back then also already out #100 melon

IVE 100% surpassed them globally AND locally with all LD and AL being bigger than any aespa comeback.

They show growth everywhere each comeback unlike Aespa who give have big sales but digital decline.

As for Newjeans they are looking more promising than Aespa, they have 3 songs in the top 10 during debut era and better streams already.

  • it’s not that deep. it’s just sm and jyp had shit taste for music. new jeans and ive have great producers behind them so they look more promising.
