personally, i don't think it's a PR move

however, jennie is trying to make her (solo) US debut starting with the HBO show

having extra media attention - by becoming part of an IT couple with one of the most popular members from the biggest group atm - can never hurt.

again, don't believe its PR since that's a very western way to look at this whole mess

but don't underestimate the power of such stunts
