  • K-pop is such a weird side of the music industry. No one who is a fan of rap or rock or really any other genre even cares and honestly probably don't want their faves to have more mainstream success because that can lead to changes in sound. Like those fans love sharing underrated on lesser known artists and barely glance at charts, but in k-pop people only like things that are popular.

These people turn around and criticize the industry for treating idols as disposable property instead of artists without ever acknowledging that they are 100% playing into that with their behavior.

  • fair? well what's fair?

is there such thing as fairness? if one criticises "all" somethings equally is that fair?

the obvious answer is certainly "no it's not fair to ridicule something because it doesn't target the taste of a broader audience" but then again who determines what's fair and not?
