Allkpop Controversial thoughts thread. Please respect the space.

If you have a potentially divisive opinion but think it still has solid merit and is worth sharing, share it here.

I shall start: The kpop arena, with its industrial and formulaic production of idols has stagnated the space. I propose for those companies to help give each group or solo idol a liberal degree of self-direction to better incorporate self image and individuality to create variance. However the idol should show exceptional promise beforehand, much higher than the current recruiting bar for most companies now.

second thought: the idol should be trained to handle unreasonable criticism. being able to withstand attack yourself is a good backup if your corporate shields fail. I forsee a spike in mental disorders among idols if this should be implemented though.

Disclaimer: Temporal ideas such as who is better than who is discouraged as they, especially, are not guaranteed to hold up to time nor do they gather much merit outisde of like-minded individuals. instead one could focus on why this particular element that one artist, group, or album did was better than the other is welcome as it pertains to technique and not the person(s) involved.

I'd hope to change that.

There is much to change in people to make it a properly safe space for fans.

Trust me, I'd love to change it too. But fans don't change like that, not when they treat it as an Olympic sport. If you really sit down and could imagine, KPOP, they got tons and tons of talents, beautiful, handsome people, and what does fan do? They start wars. The mentality is disgusting. How many death threats and suicides happened? Nothing change. It's alot easier to bag on someone you don't know, than compliment them.

KPOP, for as long as I remember, is a dick measuring contest. It feels great to beat down others and elevate your own. You feel a sense of justice. It's easier to criticize someone you don't know because every one is doing it, is a sense of misguided justice, a sense of belonging. I 'belonged' here because my opinion is the same as yours, and when that opinion turns to factual, it'll turns into the most orgasmic thing that one could ever experienced, even if they're a virgin. Your first consensual orgasm, congratulation. So, why compliments boring stuff, when you can feel good about yourself through the miserable life of others?

Threads like these aren't 'fun', it's glossed and buried over through the many of others that contains keywords. No one reads this.
