I don’t see Sakura’s supposed “star power”

She is an idol through and through. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there.

But I understand what you mean, because I also didn't see it at first. But after following Izone for a year I get the appeal of all the members.

Sakura is already big on her own, that's why HYBE wants her. If you want to know more just get know her better, no need to downplaying her

I always enjoying seeing these deluded kpop fan takes, basically "I love the group" so of course everyone should love them, or the popular "I hate the group" so everyone should hate them. The never ending need for validation must be tiring.

people keep saying it's just her fanbase that makes her stand out, but why do you think she HAS a big fanbase? clearly she appeals to a lot of people, you may not see it for her, but popularity doesn't come out of nowhere.

See to me I don't find her pretty at all, but her charisma or aura or whatever you'd call it overcomes all that and makes her very attractive. Very much like Nayeon actually. And I think that is star power or It Factor.
