About Roe V. Wade

I see a lot of people understandably upset by the recent news but I felt like I wanted to say a couple of things...

1) Straight/Bi women... please avoid making jokes about becoming lesbian. It's an overused joke that is actually harmful to the lesbian community. We all know being LGBT isn't a choice so please don't make jokes that you can just become lesbian.

2) Abortion is not banned 100% everywhere in the United States. Please stop spreading false information that it is. The overturning of Roe v. Wade means that it is now the state's decisions. 22 states are expected to immediately ban or severely restrict abortion because of this overturn, of course the number could increase, but it isn't like all 50 states are going to ban it.

America is more backward than I thought

I'm more surprised it took them this long to overturn it tbh.

It's the most backward progressive country in the world. And that was BEFORE they did this.

It's 'murica, you are not allowed to kill babies or kids, unless it's through a gun. Freeeedoommmmmm, comes with lead as a bonus.

As an Australian, America is a third-world country when it comes to social issues.

The only way to fix it is to fix the education system first, so that your future generations can grow up with critical thinking instead of being brainwashed by your conservatives.

America is a shithole at this point though. The people are disgusting, got no morals, can't think for themselves and just follow what the media tells them. No reason to blame conservatives only for brainwashing when both major political parties are full of psychopaths and unstable pedophiles.

I didn't just mean Republicans. I meant social conservatives. They need leaders who will stand up for progress. How that happens is another story though.

It's still going backward 50 years in time, while most of the rest of the world is moving forward.

The US are on a completely bonkers trajectory.

Looks like The Handmaid's Tale is less and less scifi or a work of fiction, and more and more 1 of the very possible future scenarios for many US states. I bet the author never saw that one coming, realistically speaking.
