Are the people that put away Chinese sales as 'cheap bulkbuy' not simply performing lowkey racism?

  • It amazes me, idols are painted immediately as racists for 1 misunderstood comment or imitation they did, yet the same k-pop fans have no problem at all with other k-pop fans mocking and belittling Asian fans buying albums or streaming songs.

Sorry, you can give it whatever justification or excuse you like: but if you downplay and dismiss Chinese album buying and SEA fans streaming k-pop as less valuable compared with sales and streams from the West, you're basically just saying 'Chinese and SEA people are worth less as human beings than people in Western countries, so their sales and streams or whatever they do doesn't count'

Now that is real racism and prejudice.

  • sorry, but you don't see japanese bars or korean bars doing the same shit as chinese bars, in fact they do not exist

  • yes its xenophobia and racism. international particularly western kpop fans are full of ko#eaboos and weebs who worship japan and sk but look down on other asian countries

  • I guess it links bank to a subconscious sense of superiority, that it's always better to be popular in the west, or in America, above 'lesser' cultures, races and people.

That it just doesn't matter that much if a group or artist is hugely popular in 1 of those non-Western countries or regions.

That kinda thinking may look innocent. But I think it's even more dangerous because it seemingly being innocent, it leads to offhand, casual racism and prejudice and that way of thinking is 1 of the main pillars for the rise of white supremacy: that as soon as 1 of those 'lesser' cultures and people thrive and rise up, they need to be 'put down' and 'put into their place'.
