I. Introduction
Based on an award winning web novel titled Minamdang: Case Note by writer Jung Jae-ha, Café Minamdang is a 2022 South Korean television series starring Seo In-guk, Oh Yeon-seo, Kwak Si-yang, Kang Mi-na & Kwon Soo-hyun, directed by Go Jae-hyun & written by Park Hye-jin. It aired from June 27 to August 23, 2022 on KBS2's Mondays & Tuesdays. It's also available for streaming on Netflix in selected regions.
II. Synopsis
The series follows the mysterious events experienced by a former profiler who became a shaman, and his colleagues as well as the story of a suspicious café named Minamdang and its customers.
Nam Han Joon is a former criminal profiler now working as a conman. To run his scams, he disguises himself as a fortune teller with his shop called Minamdang. Clients are drawn to his attractive appearance and smooth-talking manner. While he cheats his customers out money, he works to solve their issues, all the while providing excellent customer service. He's partnered up with Gong Soo Cheol, who runs a private detective agency, and his younger sister, Hye Joon, an elite hacker.
For the last three years, Detective Han Jae Hee performed her job with enthusiasm and integrity. Will her involvement with Nam Han Joon jeopardize all of that?
