On September 28, 2017, it was announced that Wanna One would be releasing a repackaged version of 1X1=1 (To Be One). This album serves as a prequel, showcasing the members apprehension about their future and hope for beautiful days ahead.

On October 30, it was announced that preorders had exceeded more than 500,000 copies. With the combined sales of their first album and repackaged edition, Wanna One became the third Korean group to sell a million copies of their debut album.
"Beautiful" topped six music sites and recorded the highest number of unique listeners in one hour on Melon, breaking their own record. It picked eight music show wins in total.
