II. Career
Jihoon participated in JYP Entertainment's Mnet survival show "Stray Kids" as a YG Trainee for the JYP vs YG battle on the fifth episode in 2017.
In 2018, Jihoon was part of YG Entertainment's new survival show "YG Treasure Box". While he was not initially selected for the main group Treasure, YGE announced on January 29, 2019 they would form another group called MAGNUM, and that he would be a member of the second group. MAGNUM was concepted to promote with Treasure as TREASURE 13, and be separate units. However, scandals in the agency prevented the group from debuting.
On January 6, 2020, YGE announced their plans to put the two groups together as a 12 member group Treasure, and ditch the two unit plans.
