I. Introduction
I is a 2021 South Korean drama written & directed by Kim Hyun-Tak as the directorial debut, starring - Kim Hyang-Gi, Ryoo Hyoun-Kyoung, Yum Hye-Ran, & more. The process began on May 25, 2020 and finished on July 6, 2020. It was released in South Korean on February 10, 2021 through Lotte Cultureworks. The film revolves around a single mother who has to juggle between her job and raising her baby son, and a college student who’s hired as a babysitter that also has struggles of her own.
II. Synopsis
A-Young (Kim Hyang-Gi) grew up in an orphanage, until she had to move out due to her age. She is now by living by herself and majors in child education at school. She has gone through various part-time jobs to support herself. She picks up a new job, as a babysitter for Young-Chae (Ryoo Hyoun-Kyoung).
Young-Chae is a single mother. She has decided to raise her baby Hyeok by herself no matter what. With A-Young’s help, Young-Chae regains mental security and begins to dream about having a normal life. One day, Hyeok has an accident. Young-Chae places all the blame on A-Young.

Eontalk reivewed I as stated - I does heavily have that indie, slow vibe. If you’re not a fan of that type, which I personally am not either, then you may not enjoy this. But as I mentioned before, it’s not too slow that it’s unbearable. Like I said, I’m not a fan of slow burners, but this I enjoyed. I was a very real movie and I liked how it wasn’t forced. The ending was very powerful and emotional, and the second to last scene was really cute. Definitely something I recommend watching. The film is currently holding 7.7 on Mydramalist &, 5.8 on IMDB.
