Jessi, also known as Jessica H.O, is a Korean rapper and songwriter in South Korea. Jessi's real name is Jessica Hyun-Ju Ho and was born on December 17, 1988 in New York, raised in New Jersey. She debuted in 2005 with her single "Get Up." She is currently signed to P' Nation.
II. Career.
She attended Korea Kent Foreign School along with SNSD member Tiffany and former SNSD member Jessica Jung. Jessi attended an S.M. audition and passed but decided not to become part of the label. In her opinion, the music did not fit her style.
Jessi attended an audition for Doremi Media in 2003 and successfully passed. She moved to South Korea at the age of 15 and released her debut album "Get Up." under the name Jessica H.O. in 2005. After her second album "The Rebirth", she took a break from music and returned to the US.
After a 5 year hiatus, Jessi returned in 2014 as a member of the hip-hop trio Lucky J with rapper J'Kyun and vocalist J-Yo. After that, she was seen in numerous shows such as in 2015 Unpretty Rapstar or in 2016 Sister's Slam Dunk, from which also emerged the project group The Unnies. In 2020 Jessi became part of another project group called Refund Sisters.
