I. Introduction
"New Heroes" is a digital single from Ten, a member of the NCT and its sub-unit WayV. It was released on April 6, 2018 as the final song of SM Station Season 2.
II. Background & Release
SM Station is a digital music project under SM Entertainment that involves solos or duets from members in existing SM groups, as well as opportunities for singers to experiment in other genres or collaborate with artists inside and outside of SM Entertainment. The project releases a number of singles digitally each year on digital platforms, including streaming audio like Spotify.
Ten was the first member of NCT to feature on a Station track outside of a group and as of August 2021, remained the only member to have solo singles. He made his debut in the first NCT sub-unit in 2016, but did not have a permanent unit at the time of this song.
Teasers were released at the beginning of April heading up to the song's release. His song was the last release of SM Station Season 2. Ten also co-choreographed the dance for the MV with 1LL.
