Rainbow V


  • I. Introduction

    Rainbow V was a YouTube variety reality series that followed members of the boy group WayV as they presented different talents to their fans through self-produced projects, including choreography and music.


    II. Overview

    WayV is a permanent sub-unit of NCT. The group structure of NCT is unique among K-Pop groups due to the fact that the concept of NCT is an ever expanding group with "unlimited" members and it is comprised of several individual subunits. Currently there are 23 members in NCT, making up four individual subunits, including WayV.


    WayV started a new project called Rainbow V in January 2019, described in the first episode of the series as "There are no set rules or structure. They can try what they want to do. Through this project, we hope they will grow. Or at least have some fun." Members were instructed that they would make all of the content on their own, whether it's writing music or creating choreography, and also chose the name to represent their "individual flavors." The series followed the project from concept to execution.


    The series debuted a month after WayV's debut EP with new weekly episodes on WayV's YouTube channel from Feb. 21 to Mar. 29, 2019.

    III. Episode List

    Each episode was 11-15 minutes long and are available in WayV's YouTube channel.
