N.TIC

INTRODUCTION

The name N.TIC stands for "New Trend ICon", however the group has previously been debuted under two other names, which are J-Peace and New-Ace. Although the group debuted under JJ Entertainment, they moved to Yechan Entertainment, which previously a girl group under its wing (A-SEED), as well as another male trio called N.O.M (Nature Of Man), whom are still active.

The group debuted with four members, Dowon (also known as Riho under VARSITY) was added in late 2019, featured in the groups comeback with Fiction, before being removed due to contract conflicts with the label that debuted VARSITY. The original lineup is now the active lineup.

The group was called J-Peace during training as a nod to the labels name, before settling with New-Ace for debut. However, on the 29th December 2017, it was announced the name New-Ace was being changed, for its conflict to the active boy group ACE, and thus the name N.TIC was born. Prior to their debut, the group gained considerable attention from K-Pop news agencies, including hellokpop, channel-korea, and nextshark, much of the attention surrounded the alleged plastic surgery of Jion, the groups oldest member and former ulzzang.
