Kubo Reina

  • I. Introduction


    Kubo Reina (久保玲奈) is a Japanese artist. She is most notably know for being a member of the Japanese pop girl group Prizmmy☆.

    III. 2009–2017: Chibicco AAA, & Prizmmy☆

    In March 2009, Reina became a member of Chibicco AAA, a children's group ("mini group") intended as a spin-off of the J-pop co-ed group, AAA. Each member of Chibicco AAA, portrayed a different member of AAA, with Reina portraying Uno Misako, and hence also did not release any original music in their own name. Following her departure from Chibicco AAA, Reina went onto work as a child model.


    In 2012, Reina became a member and the leader of Prizmmy☆, a J-pop girl group created through the television anime series, Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream. She made her official debut with the girl group on March 16, 2012 with their debut digital single, "Everybody's Gonna Be Happy. Reina remained a member for over 5 years until their disbandment in 2017.


    IIII. 2018-2021: EXPG

    In 2018, Reina participated in the LDH Presents THE GIRLS AUDITION in the vocal/dance division and was able to remain as a finalist. As a result, she became a student of EXPG Lab, a section of Japanese talent school EXPG which includes the best students of all EXPG schools in Japan.


    In early 2021, she was selected to provide her vocals for the songs "Lose Control" and "LUX 107.7 POWERMIX" that were used by the dance team SEGA SAMMY LUX in D.LEAGUE, Japan's first national dance championship.


    Her last activity in EXPG Lab was her participation in GRAND SHOWDOWN, a contest for elite students from EXPG. On March 31, 2021, she announced that she had graduated from EXPG.


    IIIII. 2021–present: Girls Planet 999

    On July 7, Reina was confirmed as a upcoming contestant on Mnet's newest reality show, Girls Planet 999, along with the other participating trainees, through the prologue trailer.[3] Her official profile was released on July 19. In the eighth episode, which was aired on September 24, it was revealed that Reina was unfortunately eliminated.
