all the popular soloists who’ve had/may have longevity right now mostly came from other kpop groups or produce groups or some other competition show as well. think about how no soloist who came after even from a group or tv ip related soloist comes even close to being anywhere on iu’s level and she debuted almost 15 years ago. it’s very hard to make it as a soloist.
