There's so much in kpop fandom where people shit talk casual fans or groups that have a lot of them, but from a fan perspective, isn't being casual so much more preferable?
Like the daily mental toll I had when I was really into a group and constantly seeing the people I follow engage in fanwars to "defend" the group, and then the myriad minor controversies that broke out over what kind of friends the group members had or dating that would destroy the fandom for weeks... It was like being in an abusive friendship with someone who just constantly complains every time you see them.
I started hating the group because of it, and then I deleted my twitter and took a hiatus from buying anything and suddenly I like the group again. I never wanted to know about their personal lives, nor what other people thought about them. Idk maybe this is just a me thing tho
