I’ve been thinking about this for a while now… I recently went to my first 2 kpop concerts. First was Itzy, followed by Blackpink. I was really surprised that even though I like blackpink’s music more, I ended up liking Itzy’s concert more.smaller venue helped show feel more intimate probably. No room for pyrotechnics, etc. which led to more focus on the girls and their dancing/performances. Lia even just sang her solo on an empty stage by herself! they spent way more time talking to us/the crowd and interacting with each other! Even though I know not all of them are super comfortable speaking English, and some parts were very scripted, it still felt more personal and they loosened up as the show went on. It was nice to be able to see their personalities this way. I enjoyed how they did their encore! The interactive “missions” with the crowd really kept me into it and engaged and I loved the crowd cam focusing on random people for the dancing challenges. It was so fun to hype each other up since we all know the dances and that’s half the fun.
