I don't understand how that illit video was interesting or different than what we had years ago?
Beamon had a whole survial show before their debut to hype them up and on top of that couple of pre debut songs and a "kinda" debut. They were already known and had a proper fanbase before this cb/debut. And as you can see from the sales they are quite successful and managed to break the debut record.
The following videos were released by YG. One of them is 9 years old and other two are 8. They are better than anything you can see today from kpop groups. It's not hard to do these type of videos. And Illitone is nowhere close to this quality. So please don't come at me with "being fresh" while there are better trailers from other groups already years ago.
Like I said it's a design choice. If YG didn't believe their popularity. They could easily release a trailer like that.
