Why do men have bigger feet?

Imagine a man and a woman have the same height, but why do men almost allways have bigger feet than the women? IDK it's just eh well ... men look weird with those giant feet

Any scientific reason for that?

My guess is it's from when we were hunters, men needed larger feet to run faster as well as jump or do any physical labour really. Of course, this is just from the top of my head and I've got no research to prove it. But it does make sense imo as men have larger hands too

I'd guess it was evolutionarily advantageous for men, who would be most often the hunters in early human communities as opposed to women generally being gatherers, to have bigger feet just like their muscle mass tends to be higher on average

Men's bones are generally longer if you haven't noticed.

It's a free forum, so people can talk about anything in abidance by the rules. At least it's more interesting and refreshing than stans trying to one-up each other with charts all the time.

Maybe for more stability because men's center of gravity is higher than women...

For the same reason they usually have bigger hands, exposure to testosterone during puberty is the reason

testosterone is one powerful thing for the body, even ftm trans people said they felt their strength overall increasing dramatically even if they start taking T after puberty period.

Women are catching up though. Average shoe size has increased dramatically since the 1950s and the difference isn't nearly as big today as it used to be.

Right? Tbh why have feet in general? I can't be the only one who find feet aesthetically displeasing to the eyes. I mean, there are ppl with pretty feet but very rare. If I ever forget that a celebrity is just an ordinary human just show me a picture of their feet to bring me back down to Earth. We should have had hooves of something cool like that. Hands are kinda funny looking too tbh, they aren't as bad as feet, but they do look stranger the longer you stare at them.

Women's feet need to be smaller genetically so they can stand closer to the kitchen sink and stove.
