Aespa is the top GG (in Korea) in 2021

Hear me out. I am so proud of them.

They are the only act to chart four songs in the top 10 on Melon. NL, Savage, Dreams, and Step Back.

Also, NL was clearly SOTY for 2021, 27 weeks in the top 10 on Melon, still charting top 20 on Melon, Savage got them their first PAKs and Dreams was an SM cover song that made top 10.

I guess they performed really well for 2021 domestically

but BP were bigger than them according to gallup

Without a doubt it’s true I think people are more interested if they can maintain top spot but without sounding negative they’ve accomplished a lot so congrats to them

It is still BP despite not releasing music. Gallup is the most credible public survey in my country.

Aespa's achievements are certainly something to be proud of, especially for a rookie group. They dominated 2021 in South Korea.

For now though I'd say that BP are still #1 girl group in South Korea, and Aespa #2, as Gallup shows.

Op is talking about 2021 right? So yes, Aespa is the gg who dominated domestically and did great.

This isn't taking BP out of the top (they are the top), this is counting the gg who were active last year and Aespa is the first one by a large margin.
