  • why are people getting bullied just because they are mixed race :sadr:

It legitimately makes me so sad that people get bullied for this.

I'm not mixed race myself but from my friend's experiences (who is mixed race), she always feels both fetishised and unaccepted because she's mixed. People like the idea of mixing races because "the children will look so beautiful being a mix of features from the two races" which is such a terrible thought, whereas they are also marginalised because they're "not enough" of a race if that makes sense. E.g. my friend is half Asian half white, and she's seen as "not Asian enough" and "not white enough". It's fucked up.
