Do you think an idol's appearance influences how kpop stans treat them?

  • I mean both physical features and styling.


    I saw Jennie for instance, having her personality judged based on her rbf and fashion style. People assumed she must be cold and mean, even though she really isn't.


    Another thing I noticed is that sometimes male idols who are styled in a softer style somehow get less hate for the same things idols with a cooler/stronger image do? Or am I the only one who is seeing this?

  • I think it works FOR some people and AGAINST some, like lucas basically got a pass from his scandal for being hot, but if a less-atttractive male idol did the same people would be mad.


    As for jennie, I think her look coupled with her "sassy" branding just makes people think she's naturally a mean girl so people are more willing to believe that what she does is with ill intent (like when she was called lazy despite having broken her ankle several times and being photographed in a wheelchair and with a cane).
