what are your thoughts on shady users?

admittedly, there are a few in the fandsoms I stan.

I just don't get why they can be so shady and hateful to idols. it's just kpop. they are taking it way too seriously.

agreed I don't understand hateful people at all. I get not liking a group, but going out of your way to hate on them?? By that point you're just being a fan.

also OP maybe youre the one taking kpop too seriously if you get offended at these people being shady? its not that deep. you dont know any of these idols and these trolls making comments about them in a western site will have 0 effect on them.

I think they should go outside and touch some grass instead of hiding in the shade.

I think people here only have a problem with shady users when they shade their faves. Otherwise they don't mind it when a group they don't like is getting shaded or when their fellow fans are being shady. I have seen people write essays against certain shady users only to turn around and kekeke at shady posts made by their guild or fandom friends.

Kpop fans should stop taking everything so damn seriously, a little bit of shade never killed anyone, maybe focus on actual bigots instead.

Allkpop is not a "western" site, it's international. There are people here from allover the world and the site existed long before kpop had any reaction in the west.

No they're basically being hateful to people who they don't know and i don't think it's a case of taking kpop to seriously when we feel contempt seeing people making such hateful remarks

It depends on what you consider as "hateful" remarks tbh. If its someone insulting their appearance or wishing death threats then thats hateful to me but if they're just saying their music is trash or their personality is then its not that deep.

it depends on the level of trolling. minor hate and trolling can be fun.

If people are making their own assumptions, they already feel a certain way about certain users. That's not going to change.

Better to form your own opinions about people instead of relying on from others' hearsay, which might be biased anyway due to fandom affiliation, who they're friends with, etc.

Doesn't mean they can't start. People can change and improve. Not every user is some static character or video game NPC who's stuck with the same personality from start to finish.
