Valve is doing great job with implementing more and more features into Steam with Proton.
If they will continue doing it they might 'save' all people from paying 'extra' for upcoming Windows 11 (either for system or for upgrade of your PC components).
For example my PC won't be able to run Windows 11 even tho I have 2nd gen Ryzen which was released in december 2018...
So with all of that I might say big hello to Linux in near future. Because I'd rather do that and invest more in parts than to just pay 50 or 100 bucks for Windows licence...
