ACT I — INTRO […] — Changbin On June 17, 2020, GO生, Stray Kids' first studio album and, until then, the group's last standard album, was released. During [INTRO "GO生"] [URL:https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GjZtBYFyWqE], the members explained that the title extends to GO Saeng, where 'Saeng' means 'life'. Also, the purpose of choosing the name was due to the fact that they wanted to show who the real Stray Kids was. GO生 has 14 tracks, 10 of them were new and 4 are included after being previously released on the OST of Tower of God and the 'Mixtape Project'. 'God's Menu' was the turning point of Stray Kids' career, as everyone knows. However, it almost shouldn't have been like that. A long time ago, they had already recorded a track that fans believe is called 'Fold'. This would be the title track of the album. But, at the last moment, they decided to replace due to mutual agreement between the members and praise from J.Y Park, who claimed to be able to see Stray Kids perfectly performing God's Menu on stage. During INTRO, Lee Know comments that God's Menu would be a track that would be memorable even to those who weren't Stray Kids fans, and that people would be copying moves from the choreography without even realizing it. ACT II — CONCEPT All previous GO生 albums tell Stray Kids' own story, however, this one is special for being the first full-length album where they experiment with various genres they hadn't worked with before. And they wanted to carry the message that Stray Kids have fun making music, experimenting with genres, and sharing genuine, personal experiences and feelings with listeners. […] — Bang Chan https://youtu.be/TQTlCHxyuu8 And as the title track on such a personal album, there would be no better choice for that than God's Menu. The track's concept is to bring a self-appreciation and personal conception that Stray Kids have of themselves. It's a significant piece that represents their unique identity as a group, while metaphorically using culinary references to enshrine that Stray Kids make their own music, like cooks make their own dish. And cooks experiment all the time, always creating new dishes to stand out from an entire industry. So Stray Kids claims to offer unique main dishes that you won't find in any other discography, or menu. They have fun proving that negative criticism don't affect their trajectory, and their identity as a self-produced group is what represents who they really are. New listeners are welcome as long as you accept them as artists, as they won't change to please others. They don't need it. ACT III — COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE Days before GO生's release, it was announced that the album had surpassed 200,000 pre-sales.
