Localized groups will lead to decline in kpop and maybe kpop industry will get smaller in future.

  • For example; hybe has txt; enyphen and will launch a boy group in Japan and another boy group in the US. Both these boygroups will take away fans from these countries because they have advantage of being local and familiar with the country's culture. Now there are still lots of kpop fans from Southeast Asia and Europe and South America. But since English is a global language and the Western music industry dominates globally; many kpop fans will rather stan a boygroup who make English songs and can communicate in English (global language). So there will be fewer kpop fans and smaller companies probably wouldn't be able to sustain boy groups.

If fans only wanted to stan groups who spoke English then EXP Edition would be the most popular bg in the West.

EXP Edition is a Western group singing kpop songs; whereas hybe-umg boygroup will be a Western boygroup singing in English and promoting in the West like One direction. Also this boygroup will be under a big music label and will have many kpop fans who will check them out. There is American boygroup "Why don't we" but they aren't dance focused and fandom focused like kpop groups.
