Because I know this kind of stuff tends to confuse K-pop fans, it's common enough in J-pop to include tracks from previous mini albums in the next album release. They're kinda treated as glorified singles (Which are also common to all include on an album.)

Great point. I noticed many jpop albums do that, and I don't mind the inclusion of older hits. My only complaint is when I'm unsure if I forgot to add a song to playlist because spotify doesn't show if you did that with re-releases
