I noticed some artists with pretty small followings showing surprising monthly numbers, which makes me think some are pushing visibility in ways we don’t see. Kind of like how influencers buy instagram likes to look more popular and boost engagement. It’s not always easy to tell who’s growing naturally and who’s using shortcuts, especially on platforms that don’t give full transparency on where the traffic's coming from.
