I think those are roses.
According to a quick Google search, yellow roses symbolize "friendship", and 3 roses symbolize "I love you". So, I guess it means "I love you, my friend" 
And later he held up 6 flowers, which symbolize "I want to be yours". Yup, he wants to be mine, just kidding.
Well... I have LEGO flowers too, but I still haven't built them...
But yup, yesterday (at least in my time zone) his Animal Crossing LEGO building live was uploaded.
