Shinsegae Group has denied rumors that BIGBANG’s G-Dragon is dating the granddaughter of chairwoman Lee Myung Hee.
On January 9, a Chinese media outlet reported that G-Dragon was romantically involved with Lee Myung Hee’s granddaughter and that they had gone to see a concert together.
The following day, Shinsegae Group officially responded by firmly denying that there was any sort of romantic relationship between G-Dragon and the chaebol heiress.
Describing the report as “clear misinformation,” a spokesperson for the conglomerate stated, “It is completely untrue. Because there continue to be groundless speculative reports based on unconfirmed facts, we have decided to make an official statement in order to clarify these falsehoods.”
“After checking with [Lee Myung Hee’s granddaughter] herself, she went to see the concert with a group of people, and she simply posted a photo she took [with G-Dragon] because she is a fan,” they continued. “We ask that you refrain from publishing any more groundless speculation [regarding this matter].”
