Official Cocco こっこ Thread: New Album: Beatrice!

Cocco is a Japanese pop/rock/folk singer-song writer, artist, and actor from Okinawa. Her real name is Makishi Satoko (真喜志智子). She initially wanted to be a ballet dancer and only sang to earn money for her ballet auditions. Her official debut was in 1996 and since then, she has released 17 albums.

She's known for always being very unique, private, and have said that music was a way for her to process her emotions. You can def feel her emotions and passion through her music. Cocco created the art for her album covers and she was one of the first Japanese musicians to provide English translations to her songs' lyrics.

She's currently doing a 25th Anniversary Best Tour across Japan.

The full MV is out for お望み通り; another fabulous song by Cocco. I'm also happy that she's having so much fun in this video too. The chorus is just a tad bit too repetitive for me though but I get it - it's catchy~
