personally I think it's true
media and fans overall don't pay much attention to just a 'normie' young sport players who start their careers
no one is following those players in their free time with camera around
because look nowadays from soccer players, the "names" that would make media buzz
are probably just those three: Son Heungmin, Kim Minjae, and Lee Kangin
and that's just because they play in Premier League, Serie A, and La Liga
so no one would really pay attention if some 4th gen Idol would date a guy playing in K-League
maybe unless he will get regular calls to national team
don't know much about baseball but I assume it's the same
and would probably be even less interesting if Idol would date volleyball or basketball player because those sports are less popular in SK
