Has NCT127 lost fans to Seventeen, Dream, and Stray Kids?

Going off of sales this year, plus charting were Dream and Seventeen are concerned. 127 doesn't seem to be keeping up with the others and their recent (and only) comeback this year didn't have alot of hype.

Sticker probably lost them some fans. But about hype, it’s normal. To be fair, boy groups in general don’t make noise outside of their fandom unlike girl groups.

That last part is incorrect. Seventeen and Dream have had the repackages of their full albums this year already. NCT 127 will release their repackage later this year. They probably are behind Dream and Seventeen at this point but this, don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Agree with this. And don’t know what SM was thinking by releasing a song like 2baddies and those unnecessary youtube shorts. It’s cringy.

2 Baddies was good - except for the 2 Baddies part which sucks as it was the chorus and the title. Sadly they now have a reputation for a certain style of music, and if people don't like Sticker and the other messes they'll stay away. Dream and also U have a better reputation for music. Superhuman is one of my fave BG songs, but 127 probably won't get that kind of song again. It would go to Dream now.

Too many polarising title tracks in a row with long breaks between releases was a bad idea.

And the one to blame is sm and their stupid obsession with these weird experimental title tracks!! Sm is really bad at keeping up the hype when it comes to their groups!! I feel bad for nct 127 because they're the most talented unit, they have the best besides but they will never be truly successful because sm doesn't want it! Dream has more potential to be truly successful because at least they have better title tracks, not always but most are!

Or imagine a world where all of these artists are doing just fine. Seventeen continues to grow, as do SKZ, as do Dream, as do 127. I think it's wonderful that we have space in kpop for so many different types of sounds and styles!

127 is doing fine. If you want more conventional music, there are lots of bgs out there to fill that niche. The idea that 127 should change their style because some kpop fans got pressed about Sticker or 2 Baddies while playing to packed arenas and domes that are happily singing along doesn't make sense.

Now to the facts:

2 Baddies is the highest first week sales of their career, despite the problems with the digipack and distribution. It's also 127's highest selling album on the Hanteo chart..outselling Sticker, their previous high. Charting is pretty comparable to past performances, so no surprises there - only Kick It had longevity and that song remains the NCT song (all units) with the most ULs on Melon. They're selling out Japanese domes and arenas in other countries and gearing up to play Jamsil.

All that said, if 127 are so irrelevant and have such little buzz, why y'all always talking about them and worrying about what they do?
