I have noticed they are getting better and better at picking lyrics and beats that are repetitive, and that makes you want to sing along/replay.
Basically, they have found replayability, which most of kpop lacks tbh.
Some of their earlier choices were...noisier, but lately they have learned to keep their identity while putting out bops.
