I hate whenever BTS are treated like trophy wives by korean politicians

I know that BTS love promoting their country and they are proud koreans but I can't help but feel uneasy whenever I see them around these corrupt politicians. I know their status in korea but I wish they would just stick to making music only. Like I can already see koreans doubting bts and their impact if they don't win that EXPO bid. And even if they do they won't give them an ounce of credit for it. I know all of the members are adults and this was their own decision but as a fan I can't help but think they give too much without getting anything in return.

Kpop was always meant to double as a soft power product.

in my wild theories, bts probably didn’t intend to associate themselves anymore with these politicians after announcing their solo promotions. but the way the public and media reacted very strongly about that made hybe accept this offer and persued bts to do this for damage control.

Unfortunately, it seems that there are many unwritten rules when it comes to kpop. I am sure that BTS also see it as a duty.
