very true, what makes a good song is if its catchy and beats are good. if you want lyrical, mostly go for soloist. thats why majority of idol songs are noise music. fans dosent care for lyrical, if they have it, its a plus. else they praising that its the SOTY even if the lyrics are 'ooo ahhh' 'wanna wanna' 'ooo eee', for example.
