    That user is just salty because Twice isn't at their peak anymore in sk. But they are literally underestimating Twice by writing that whole essay because Twice has been doing great in Japan and globally.

  • Generally speaking, yes. Which is the natural state of things: there was a list of still active, existing 3rd gen groups not that long ago, and it was shocking to see that there were hardly more than 10-15 girl groups on that list.

    All other 3rd gen groups had disbanded, discontinued their contracts or faded into oblivion.


    Girl groups usually have a shorter lifespan than boy groups, so what you're seeing now, newer groups capturing the attention of the public and of k-pop fans, that is as it has been for decades.


    Companies will also focus and spend more resources on their newer groups, because they still need to grow and because they have a longer lifespan than their groups who're nearing their contract ending and that aren't expected to sign up for another 7+ years.
