Do people exaggerate Min Heejin's impact on SM's groups concept?

people here act like she single handedly created all of those iconic fx, shinee and rv concepts and teasers, but if i am not wrong she was only a part of a whole team? as you all can see, groups like aespa and rv still get to release some of the best teasers and concept aesthetics in the industry even after min heejin left sm, so i dare say she wasn't exactly a deal breaker.

i also find it funny that the same people that hate sm and sm groups' guts are already stanning an undebuted group just because of its association with a former sm art director lol.

uhm well i liked all the sm groups and then she left and aespa was the first sm group i didnt like, although the thing i dont like is mainly their songs but i also kind their entire ai concept weird and find the ai members a little creepy and gimmicky

what i don't understand is hybe stans hyping mhj up when they shaded sm on daily basis.

its not only hybe stans but mhj is media played like that so she get her new group more hype. its a non harmful mediaplay where her importance is exaggerated so no one is complaining yet. if you ask sm stans about her before she went to hybe most will tell you they never heard her name. but many sm stans know the big names like YYJ.

also sm’s creative team used to get plagiarism accusations from kpop fans even when she was part of it.

she's the one who's behind of exo growl's concept especially the uniform outfits that became trendy among boy groups

I was about to ask the same thing. RV is doing pretty good without her. Their concepts have that same "quirky and unique" vibe to them.

Exactly. FMR had some of the best teasers and visual concepts RV has ever had. Psycho, Monster and the incredible Like Water album design all happened after MHJ left. She was allegedly responsible for crafting RV's visual concept but you can't detect any blip in the quality and themes of their concepts after she left.
