AhYooMee - Wrong Meeting

I. Introduction

Wrongful Meeting is the second and last single released by leader of Sugar, during her time after having transferred to SM Entertainment from it's sublabel Starworld. She would once again be criticized as she was with her solo debut for having "way too much of a visible Japanese accent". Despite the fact that the artist was born and raised in Japan, the Korean public at that time took issue with it. The song is a female responsive take on the song originally by Kim Gun-Mo. In a turn of events, regardless of the public shame brought against her accent, the song would chart for close to 6 months much like her debut solo single. This would be second time in 2006 that an SM Entertainment artist would release a cover of this song as a single as Fly to the Sky did so in April 2006. Ito's version would place highly on MTV Korea's TRL for close to 2 months. On December 7th, 2006 she would perform a live metal style performance of the song on tvN. It would appear in a rhythm game titled Club Bing Bing, which was a Chinese exclusive game in late 2007. Both Fly to the Sky and Ito's covers of this song have been removed off all internet platforms used for .MP3 purchases and streaming as of 2008. In 2020, during the pandemic an DJ in South Korea, DJ Seok would release an house remix of the song that would go semi viral.
