I. Introduction
Ruka is a dancer and rapper in the South Korean girl group BABYMONSTER.
II. Biography
She was born Kawai Ruka (河井瑠花) on March 20th, 2002 in the Yamaguchi Prefecture of Japan. She is the only child of her parents. Ruka, along with Asa, are the first female Japanese idols to debut under YG Entertainment.
III. Career
On March 26th, 2017, Ruka debuted as a member of the Japanese group Shibu3 project. She left the aforementioned group in 2018. She joined YG Entertainment in 2018 and BABYMONSTER in 2023 in the group's pre-debut song Dream. She has been dancing since she was 6 years of age and did so in her free time. She is one of the greatest dancers in BABYMONSTER that no one, not even a dance teacher, criticized her dancing abilities. She would be a clothing brand designer if she was not a K-Pop idol.
