In 2016, she participated in Mnet's reality survival show Produce 101.
She was eliminated in episode 8 after ranking 53rd place
II. 2016–2019: OAHSIS
In 2016, she became a member of the pre-debut girl group OAHSIS (then known as SeeArt).
On October 11, 2019, member Joa announced via Instagram that the group had been disbanded by their company before they could make an official debut.
2018-2019: AQUA
She was a member of project girl group AQUA.
Formed by gaming company Actoz Soft, they were described as Korea's first Esports girl group who would promote both as gamers and idols.
They debuted on November 17, 2018 with the digital single "Log In''.
