I. 2010–2011: VNT
On November 4, 2010, Chaewon (then under the stage name Tina) debuted as a member of the girl group VNT with the group's first single album "VNT". The group was short-lived, disbanding sometime in 2011.
II. 2017: Solo debut, S2, The Unit
Under the stage name XOi, she made her solo debut on February 8, 2017 with the digital single "Walkin' Alone".
Now using the stage name Chaewon, she debuted as a member of the girl group S2 on August 24, 2017 with the group's first single "Honeya''.
In October 2017, she, alongside fellow member Yujeong, became contestants on the survival show The Unit.
She was eliminated in episode 7 after ranking 62nd place.
