"Voltage" is ITZY's first Japanese single. It consists of two tracks, "Voltage" and "Spice", with the former serving as the title track. The single came out on April 6, 2022 with the title track "Voltage" being pre-released on March 23, 2022.
II. Background
After the release of their first Japanese EP "IT'z ITZY (Japanese ver.)" on December 22, 2021, which marked their Japanese debut, they announced the upcoming release of their first Japanese single on February 23, 2022. The single was set to come out on April 6, and it would be their first original Japanese songs as the songs on "IT'z ITZY (Japanese ver.)" were all Japanese versions of originally Korean songs.
They released some concept photos of the members alongside some video teasers for the title track "Voltage". The MV and the title track "Voltage" were released on March 23. More teasers and information on the single was released until the full single release on April 6.

"Voltage" topped the Tower Record's daily sales chart and placed #2 on Oricon's daily single chart with 21, 467 copies sold on its' first day.
