    Mamadol (마마돌), also known as M.M.D, was a six-member project girl group formed on the tvN reality show, Mama the Idol. The group composed of former idols who left the industry to raise families.

    III. Career

    Mamadol was formed as a project group on the TV show Mama The Idol. The show followed former members of idol groups who had left the industry to start families and were returning to debut in this new project group. Members trained in dance and vocals, while also competing in various challenges.


    The group debuted on January 28, 2022 with the digital single "Mama The Idol (우아힙 (WooAh HIP)." They also performed on the weekly music show M Countdown before disbanding on February 4, 2022.


    The song debuted on the U.S. Billboard World Digital Songs, Spotify and iTunes charts, while the group garnered some media attention for its unique concept.
