    Christmas Tree is a single by V that is an OST for the drama Our Beloved Summer. It was released on December 24, 2021.


    II. Background

    A snippet of Christmas Tree was released with on December 6, 2021. The clip showed a bit of the song playing in the background of the episode footage. The credits showed that the song was called 'Our Summer (Christmas Tree)'. On December 14, it was revealed the full song would come out on the 24. The song dropped on various music platforms on December 24 alongside an official MV.

    After release, Christmas Tree charted at #1 in the iTunes charts of 53 countries including the U.S iTunes chart with both the song and instrumental at #1 and #2 respectively. This is the second OST by a Korean act to do so. It also has the highest number of debut streams for a Korean OST on Spotify with 1.46 streams. It also debuted on Spotify's top songs debut global chart at #1. Christmas Tree ties with Agust D's Daechwita as the highest debut for a Korean soloist in the UK official singles sales and downloads chart. Christmas Tree debuted at #2 on the UK Singles Sales and Downloads Chart Top 100. It is the best selling song by a Korean soloist on US Amazon's Best Selling Songs of 2021 at #97, and it was the only Korean song on the list. It has the highest amount of daily unique listeners on Melon at 126,381, which it gained in the shortest period of 6 days after release. Christmas Tree debuted on the Billboard's US Digital Song Sales Chart at #1. It also debuted at #79 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart and it is the first and so far only Korean OST to enter the chart, and it's V's 1st solo entry on the chart. This led to V topping Billboard's Emerging Artists chart (which is also his first). V is also the first Korean soloist to top the Hungarian singles top 40 chart with both the song and instrumental.
