I. 2019: Produce X 101
In 2019, Jinhwa became a contestant on Mnet's reality survival show Produce X 101 representing his company. He was eliminated on episode 5 after ranking 74th place.
II. 2020–2021: BLITZERS
On March 17, 2020, he was announced as a member of Wuzo's upcoming boy group, WUZOCIRCLE (now known as BLITZERS).
On February 5, 2021, he was reintroduced as the third member of BLITZERS.
He then made his debut with the group on May 12 with their debut EP Check-In.
