I. Introduction

"Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway" (덕수궁 돌담길의 봄) is a digital single from Korean-songwriter 10cm and singer Yoona from the girl group Girls' Generation. It is the fifth single of SM Station Season 1 and was released on March 11, 2016.

II. Background & Release

SM Station is a digital music project under SM Entertainment that involves solos or duets from members in existing SM groups, as well as opportunities for singers to experiment in other genres or collaborate with artists inside and outside of SM Entertainment. The project releases a number of singles digitally each year on digital platforms, including streaming audio like Spotify.

10cm is an acoustic folk act composed of singer-songwriter Kwon Jung-yeol. Yoona is a singer, rapper and dancer in the girl group Girls' Generation. The song was Yoona's first solo single and would reappear later on her first solo EP A Walk to Remember in 2019. SM described the song as an "urban pop song featuring the warm sounds on an electric piano and a performance by 10cm's guitarist." The lyrics describe a couple who walks alongside the Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway despite the superstition that couples who walk together there end up breaking up. The couple in the song promises to stay together forever ever.
